Move over In and Out . . . there's an old guy in town!

When you are in an area that you have not really explored before always do what the what the locals do.  Your experience with the area is always more personal and memorable.

One evening while visiting, we went to a popular site to watch the sunset and bats emerge from their daytime slumber cave.  The legend is, there is gold hidden in the hills where we were waiting for the bats and watching the sunset.

The mountains are covered with the Saguaro cactus.

Obviously, a beautiful sunset

Even some interesting bugs to be found.

Yep, everyone looking silly pointing to the gold we never found.

A silly trip to the top of "A" mountain to see the lights and stars.

Sorry all of you "IN and OUT" fans.

This local fixture in Tucson is supposed to be better than your beloved famous burger joint.

I have yet to make it to "In and Out" but they have got some competition here with Pat's.
Even more amazingly, we all ate for $19.43!  And had food left over!

Everyone, please meet Lee, the local favorite fxture at the grocery store!
We had gone there to get ice cream because everyone knows you can't have such a great night and not top it off with some mint chocolate chip ice cream in a pink cone.  Right Pinkie Jr.?
The only thing that would have made the night complete was seeing the bats emerging from their cave.  But, I think maybe the bats have heard about my driving record from some of their kin by now and figured they didn't want to risk their lives for food while I was so close.  I guess I can't blame them.
